Geography GCSE – AQA Specification A
Studying the natural and human world around you, and making sense of it, is nothing short of inspirational. This course investigates modern issues and the sustainable strategies being used to plan for the world of tomorrow. Geography students have long been regarded as some of the most employable people available as a result of the key skills acquired whilst studying the subject: thinking, communicating, presenting and investigating. Last but not least, it binds other areas of the curriculum together and is recognised as an EBAC subject.
Geography can be studied in combination as a linked GCSE with Geology GCSE.
Geology GCSE - WJEC
After 4.6 Billion years of earth history, Geology is still the newest science. We study the composition of Earth, its past, present and future, and look at the practical applications. Over the two year course, students develop skills of enquiry, analysis and synthesis. Results are consistently very good, and all students make good or better progress.
