Some of our year 8 students were invited to take part in a singing workshop run by Katy Baker.

Students looked at how to warm up their voices safely and learnt a 3 part gospel song to practise singing in parts.

They then learnt a mash up of two songs, Price Tag by Jessie Jay and Where is the Love? By the Black Eyed Peas. They sounded great! They also learnt Skyfall by Adele from the Bond film of the same name.

Again, both the tune and the harmonies sounded great!

On Saturday the 25th June 2016 the music department was delighted to be hosting ‘Trinity College London’ instrumental exams.

Students from across Devon came to take their instrumental exams ranging from grades  1 -8 and to take full advantage of our fantastic facilities within the music department.

This is the second year running that we have been asked by Trinity to host these exams and we shall also be supporting them with the ‘Rock & Pop exams.
