5 months’ training. Two teams. Ten Tors

Over the weekend of 6 to 8th May THS entered two teams into the 35 mile ten tors challenge walking event on Dartmoor. This involves walking 35 miles over moorland terrain carrying enough kit to be self sufficient for 2 days, navigating along a route not seen before the event.

This was the culmination of 5 months’ training and involved students in years 10 and 11.

Both teams performed brilliantly and finished the event well within the time limit.  Team B led by Lottie R arrived back first and included Ed B, Hamish H, Ezra B, Millie K and Jess M. Team A followed shortly after led by Fergus K and included Tristan L,  Evie E-K, Ellie May C, Caitlin C and Laura C.

A massive well done to all the students involved, and a big thank you to the staff and volunteers who helped in the training and made the event possible for the students.
