Tiverton High School is an innovative and successful school situated within easy reach of Exmoor and the North Devon coast. We are seeking to recruit an Assistant SENDCo to lead and manage aspects of Special Educational Needs and assist the SENDCo in leading the provision for SEND within the school.
The successful candidate will lead, develop and be responsible for interventions and appropriate curriculum courses. You will provide clear guidance and oversight of the Teaching Assistants in conjunction with the SENDCo and complete all relevant referrals and paperwork needed to support SEND students under the Code of Practice, 2014.
They will take on the role of Assistant SENDCo to support high quality teaching, effective use of resources and high standards of learning and achievement for all pupils You will line manage two Area Leads, as set out under the Code of Practice 2014.
An important part of this role will be as a tutor in the Support Centre when required.
