Continued success for U13 footballers

The U13 female footballers have kept up their remarkable winning run with a 7-0 win over Clyst Vale this afternoon in a game that was cut short by 15 minutes due to the away team having to leave early for a production back at their school.

It was a difficult start for us compared to our usual high standards as a reshuffled team struggled to keep the ball on the floor in the strong wind.

This didn’t last too long though as a long distance strike from Carly K from distance was followed by goals from Niamh P and Jess W to make it 3-0 to us at half time.

The message from myself was to get the ball down on the ground and move it quicker and that paid off with 4 goals in a 15 minute second half from Chloe C, Carly K, Freya H and Jess W leaving us with a 7-0 win.

This takes us to over 25 wins in all fixtures/ tournament games and still just two losses to date.

Next up for the girls will be an 11 a side friendly against the Year 7 boys ‘A team’ ahead of the round 16 of the National Cup which will be played at Tiverton Town in front of parents and students with the girls keen to make their mark on a national level.

Player of the match today goes to Chloe C whose composure on the ball and choice of pass was faultless as always.
