Tiverton High School is an innovative and successful school situated within easy reach of Exmoor and the North Devon coast. We are a cooperative trust school and have recently joined a formal federation with Heathcoat Primary and Rackenford C of E Primary School.
This is an opportunity to join the school’s experienced exams’ team; assisting in the efficient, effective and secure delivery of both internal and external exams with due regard to the rules and regulations of the examining bodies and to the well-being of the students. All students must have the opportunity to perform at their very best at all times.
The successful applicant(s) will be responsible for the supervision of both students and exam materials. They will also have access to information relating to students They will be comfortable with this level of responsibility and will be very clear about the absolute need for confidentiality. Sometimes supervision might be on a one-to-one basis with a student. You may also be asked to act as a reader or scribe as part of your duties. We are also looking to appoint invigilators with a good standard of IT skills as you may be required to invigilate online examinations and/or examinations where students are word processing their answers, using a specialist reading software or speech-to-text software.
Please note that no guarantees can be given about the number of hours work that will be offered. The closing date for applications is Friday 21st January. Interviews will take place on Thursday 27th January and if you are successful, you will be required to attend a training day on 10th February. Thereafter training must be attended every 3 months; this is a condition of ongoing employment.
