Girls Rugby

The Y10 and 11s Girls Rugby team had their first competition match on Tuesday 1st November.  The girls have been extremely committed in attending training and very enthusiastic about learning the game of rugby.  We travelled to St Peter’s in Exeter, the girls wearing the school kit with pride and passion.  The first quarter went by like a whirlwind; the girls just getting to the pace and physicality of the game.  The girls gained so much confidence and were like a different team in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarter.  The girls were competing at the break-down, they made some outstanding tackles and broke the line on numerous occasions to earn themselves a few tries.

Well done girls, I am very proud of you.  Their opposition were fantastic and hugely supportive also.  We hope to play them again in the New Year.  Thank you to Will Goffey who has been helping the team at training and refereeing the game on Tuesday.
