Important Parent Communication Regarding Staff Absence

24th November 2022

Dear Parent/Carer

Re: Important Parent Communication Regarding Staff Absence

Unfortunately, due to ongoing significant staff absences, we have agreed in the best interest of the health, safety and wellbeing of all our students that Year 9 will need to stay at home tomorrow, Friday 25th November and access Remote Learning.

We apologise to year 9 for missing our non-uniform day. If you would like your monetary donation returned please ask your child to speak to their tutor on Monday.

Please note the following groups will be required to remain in school; please complete the form on our school website to book a place for your child.

  • Vulnerable students
  • Students with an EHCP
  • Students with Social Worker involvement

Year 9 students working from home will receive a mixture of live and independent lessons and should log into Google Classrooms for registration and tutor time at 8:30am in the morning.

Students accessing Remote Learning will be expected to follow their normal school timetable each day and complete the work set on Google Classrooms.  We strongly advise that parents/carers encourage students to follow this routine.

Please let the school know, as soon as possible, if your child requires help to access the necessary technology to be able to access their Remote Learning.

I am very sorry for the ongoing disruption this may cause and look forward to welcoming year 9 back on Monday.  Please be assured that we will continue to monitor the situation over the weekend and will endeavour to inform you of further closures should they become necessary. Thank you again for your support in this matter.

Yours sincerely
