Introducing our Head Girl, Head Boy and new Ambassadors

We’ve appointed our new School Ambassadors for the year and selected the new Head Boy and Head Girl.

Matt Baker and Bryony Keane have been chosen for the coveted roles following a rigorous selection process that has taken several weeks. They will supported by Cory Woodberry and Ellen Clarke as deputy heads, as part of a team of 25 Ambassadors, who represent a public face for the school, attending school and local community events.

To become an Ambassador there is an initial application process followed by interviews, leading to a final interview and selection of the senior roles.

Bryony said: “Being appointed as the new Head Girl at school is a real honour and a title I have dreamed of having since being in year 7. I feel so grateful for this opportunity and to be given the chance to work alongside the incredible community of students and teachers we have here.

“I am extremely excited to take on this role and I am looking forward to working hard to make this year at Tiverton High School the best it can be.”

Matt said: “I am really excited about being head boy. This has been my goal for a long time and I am really looking forward to having a positive influence on Tiverton High School. I am really grateful for the opportunity that I’ve been given to help bridge the gap between students and teachers and hope that I can give all students a voice to have their suggestions and opinions heard.

Mrs Crook added: “These are important roles within the school and candidates must show us that they are up to the challenge, which will be especially difficult during the pandemic. The Ambassador team and our new heads and deputy heads should be very proud of their achievements.

“They have already been in action, and we look forward to them playing a vital role during this incredibly tough time for our school and community.”
