We have made the “tough” decision and announced our Head Boy and Head Girl for the forthcoming academic year.
Micah Partridge and Imogen Ogborne will step into the roles, having gone through a rigorous selection process. This year, Head teacher Sammy Crook said the decision was made one of the most difficult with such a range of excellent candidates.
“It’s tough making this type of choice,” she said, “And we have to consider a wide range of attributes and abilities that will most benefit the school and its students next year. But we all agreed that our selection is absolutely right, and that Micah and Imogen were outstanding candidates.”
Selection is made up of an initial application process and followed by interviews. The interview panel is made up of the Headteacher, the previous Head Boy and Girl, senior members of staff and a governor.
Mrs Crook added: “Our current Head Boy and Girl, Thomas Symonds and Sophie Fallon, have performed brilliantly in these coveted roles and we thank them for their hard work, energy and creativity. They have been true role models.”
Imogen commented: “The head girl of Tiverton High School. A title I have dreamed to hold since year 7. I am excited for the future and honoured to be apart of such a tremendously amazing community and I look forward to work with everyone not only within Tiverton High School but also in the wider community.”
Other student leadership roles were also announced, including Deputy Head Boy Jack Eastley and Deputy Head Girl Isabel Sharpe which completes the full School Ambassador team. Well done to all – and you can see ful
