Tiverton High School is an innovative and successful school situated within easy reach of Exmoor and the North Devon coast. We are a cooperative trust school and have recently joined a formal federation with Heathcoat Primary and Rackenford C of E Primary School.
We require a Teaching Assistant to support a student with special educational needs on a one to one basis. A good knowledge and understanding of students with social, emotional and mental health needs is essential, along with experience managing behaviour. You will need to have a flexible, creative and adaptable approach to inclusively support students. From time to time, you may be asked to support other students within the school.
ICT skills are desirable. The successful candidate will join one of our six houses and become a mentor or tutor for a group of between 23 – 27 students. Training will be provided to support the successful applicants fulfil this exciting part of the role.
