Tiverton’s Got Talent 2018
Students and staff took to the stage on Wednesday (21 November) showcasing their talents to be crowned the winner of ‘Tiverton’s Got Talent’ – while also raising around £250 for charity.
Musicians, dancers, comedians and more gave their best performances for the talent show, which was held to raise money for the school’s Interact club chosen charities – Tiverton Young Carers and the Cherish Foundation.
Headteacher Sammy Crook, Paul Edwards from Tiverton Rotary Club, and Head Girl, Sophie Fallon sat on the judging panel, and after much deliberation, crowned Year 10 student, Miriam Bowler, the winner for her beautiful performance of Devil Town on the Ukulele.
“I was privileged enough to play a part in Tiverton’s Got Talent, and it was brilliant to see so many of our students – and staff – get involved for a great cause,” said Headteacher Sammy Crook. “Even Assistant Headteacher Mr Williams took part, with a performance of Robbie Williams’ Angels!
“Each year our Interact club host different fundraising events such as these, and it’s always a great way of raising vital funds for our chosen charities, but also getting the school together to take part in something fun and exciting. Well done to Miriam, and all our performers today for their efforts, and to our Interact club for organising another fun event for us all.”
