Winning outcome for Sports For All Day 2022

On Thursday 14th July THS staff and students had the opportunity to celebrate SFAD for the first time in 3 years.

With a variety of sporting activities available for students to choose from in the morning including Rounders, Quoits, Capture The Flag and Basketball there were brilliant levels of engagement, enjoyment and competition on display.

The day culminated in the more traditional afternoons Athletics events. Despite the soaring temperatures, as the whole school gathered around the athletics track the energy and noise levels created were a great reminder of the importance of days such as these. We are lucky at THS to have some excellent young athletes and it’s great to give these young people the platform to shine that they deserve.

A cameo appearance from the departing maths teacher Carol Gregson demonstrating the fun mixed relay was a fitting way to finish what was a day that I’m sure will live long in the memories of all. Until next year.
