Y9 Netball

A difficult day for the Yr7 Girls

On the 9th March the Year 7 Netball team travelled to St Peters to play in the Exeter Schools’ Netball Tournament. Despite the last minute illnesses, the team went with no subs and battled hard in a difficult pooling- never giving up or accepting defeat. The girls were a credit to the school and outstanding resilience was shown by Captain Jess Tourle who played on despite later finding out she had broken her finger and the newly discovered GD Lila Barry who rolled her ankle. The Player of the Tournament Award went to a very deserving Millie Westcott who played out of position and showed true talent be reading the game and keeping various GS from shooting. Team- Jess Tourle (c), Lila Barry, Millie Westcott, Ella Parsons, Olivia Ashfield-Donaldson, Abi Loader and Madelyn Newton

A huge thanks also to Miss Abram who has coached the girls during her PGCE training and they owe much of their development to her excellent feedback and drills. We will miss her very much and wish her all the best as she finishes her training.
