Support for students’ mental wellbeing
During this unfamiliar time we are aware that some of our young people are experiencing unexpected levels of social isolation and increased levels of anxiety and depression from changes to their routine, worries about health, family, money and the impact of social media.
To help support our young people we have set up a dedicated contact email where students can have access to a trained mental health first aider: email@example.com
Emails can be sent throughout the week and a trained member of staff will be available to respond via email or telephone every Thursday starting on 16th April. This member of staff can then talk through any worries and where appropriate signpost to agencies to support.
Please remember that if you or your child is worried about their mental health it is important not to delay accessing support that is available through Kooth, Childline, NSPCC and CAMHs to discuss concerns. These services are available daily so would avoid a delay in response.
