Emphatic start to the national cup for the U13 girls

The U13 girls have started their National Cup with a thoroughly deserved 5-0 win against St Peter’s yesterday. Ever the more impressive with two defenders absent and Lacey becoming a makeshift full back for us. It says a lot about the way we dominated the game from box to box that the only real disappointment is that we could and potentially should have scored more.

The first came from a Van Basten-esque lob over the visitors’ goalkeeper from Olivia on her supposed weak foot from well outside of the box to give us the lead in style.

Then came two more goals from Macie whose pressing led to our second, and then another from the ever impressive Olivia to put us 3-0 up going into half time.

A second half of bombardment on the away sides goal led to a 5-0 win after two goals from Jess, one of which an absolute wonder goal after beating three players and finishing in the top corner from out of the box leaves us with a superb start to our cup campaign.

Player of the match is Olivia whose energy, aggression and quality on the ball has already, on her debut, shown that she’s going to be a key part of this squad moving forward.

Well done to the following:
