A huge well done to our Yr11 netballers who narrowly lost to QE in their game yesterday: 15-11.
A very respectable defeat as the team were very much a scratch team (due to the usual dwindling year 11 numbers at this time of year!), and hadn’t played together previously…
Great effort girls and a massive thank you to those who stepped in at the last minute!
Year 11 took on QE with great ferocity and enthusiasm. An injury in the warm up for Bethany L meant Jessie T stepped in early to take on centre and showed great adaptability in doing so. THS narrowly lost in the first and second quarter but came back strong in the third, by increasing their communication and confidence.
THS then fought hard throughout the rest of the game, with some great interceptions and movement off the ball, and accurate shooting from Maisie T and Jess M, but unfortunately the score ended THS 11 – 15 QE. However, it was a great game for everyone on the team and they should be proud of their efforts!
