Tiverton High School

Act of Remembrance. 11.11.24.

The THS school community took part in a series of remembrance events to recognise the service and sacrifice of all those who have defended our freedoms.

Mr Hart and Mr Saunders have led assemblies that not only informed students about the different types of service personnel but also helped us reflect on what service and sacrifice means. The assemblies had a local theme too with stories of local people who have given service to the nation and to our local community.

Yesterday the whole school joined the nation to recognise the 2 minute silence at 11am. Head Boy and Girl read the Exhortation and Kohima Epitaph and the cadets, scouts and guides paraded as one unit, before a wreath was laid at our Remembrance cross in the Peace Garden.

LEST WE FORGET.
