Hard work pays off at the South West round of the National Schools Badminton Championships

Yesterday two year 11 teams travelled to the Atlantic Racquet Centre, Bideford, competing for a place to represent Devon in the South West round of the National Schools Badminton Championships. These eight students have been preparing for the last 18 months and we are proud of their commitment to training.

With confidence and expectations high, THS A team were triumphant in 3 out of 4 matches, winning 4-1, 4-1 and 5-0 to finish a close 2nd behind Pilton Community College.
THS B team fought with resilience against some very strong opponents and kept spirits high throughout their 4 matches.

We now have a nervous wait to see if 2nd place is good enough to progress through to the next round of the competition. Well done to the whole squad consisting of:

Noah P, Max H, Henry T, Tristan F, Dempsey H, Kit B, Joe L, Toby P
