Tiverton High School’s year 10 and 11 boys basketball squad enjoyed participating in the Devon Basketball Tournament involving 10 teams that made it to “Finals Day”. THS were competitive & finished joint 3rd overall.
The boys used a mix of zone & man to man defence which was led by the Most Valuable Player for the tournament Jake S, whose strong rebounding at either end set up opportunities for fast breaks & baskets.
Notable competitive games were the wins 12-8 v St James with Noah P linking with Oli R-F making drives for lay ups; 14-12 v Westexe with Ryan J scoring the winning basket moments before the buzzer!
Well done to the boys involved.
