Solid win against Cullompton for U14 boys footballers

The U14 boys’ footballers have recorded and impressive 6-1 victory against Cullompton (22-2-23) with Archie M and Ollie W both bagging a hat trick in the process.

The game started perfectly for THS after an impressive passing move was finished with a Cruyff Turn and superb ball sent over the top from centre back Harry C onto Ollie’s foot who composed himself and slotted it away.

Confidence then built and 5 quick goals came in the first half to send us in 6-0 at the break.

Then came a second half of lots of possession but perhaps not the same intensity or killer instinct that we had in the first half which saw a wonderful free kick goal from Cullompton’s number 9 land in the top corner from near enough the halfway line and the score finishing up 6-1.

Now we have an anxious wait to see results elsewhere which will give us out final group stage position. This was a much-improved performance from the boys and the most clinical we have been for a long time so lots of positives to take away.

Players’ player of the match today is Charlie B who has looked assured since his move into central midfield and did a great job controlling the game today from start to finish. My player of the match is Archie M who is seemingly continuing to improve and was unplayable at times today in the centre of our front three.

Goals:
Archie M x3, Ollie W x3

Well done to the following:

Jake S, Isaac C, Louis B, Harry C, Henry Q, Jude H, Hudson W, Charlie B, Ollie W, Archie M, Owen T, Piran L, Kayden H.

Mr Symons.
