THS students excel in UK Maths Challenge

We recently had 169 students from years 9-11 take part in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust Intermediate Challenge. The Intermediate Mathematical Challenge is a 60-minute, multiple choice challenge. It encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.

The students have performed brilliantly and have represented themselves and Tiverton High School admirably. We have had a total of 42 students achieve a bronze certificate, 18 students achieve a silver certificate, and 6 students achieve a gold certificate. Additionally, 2 students have qualified for the subsequent UKMT Challenge. The Maths department commemorated these achievements with a celebration breakfast for all the certificate winners. Congratulations to everyone!
