Footballers perform well at Catherine Fraser Memorial Tournament

Thursday was a successful day for both of our teams in the Catherine Fraser Memorial Tournament. Both teams got themselves through to this final which is a superb achievement bearing in mind the majority of schools here only had one team.

Tiverton 2 were knocked out 2-1 in the quarter final by Colyton Grammar, which is a great achievement with two players out either injured or unwell.

Tiverton 1 advanced to the semi finals scoring a remarkable 19 goals without conceding, but lost a 2-0 lead against St Peter’s after a mad 5 minutes saw a couple of mistakes and an absolute thunderbolt knock us out. They went on to win the final with a comprehensive 4-1 win.

A massive thank you to Ana C who stepped in at the last minute to coach Tiverton 2, doing a superb job and keeping the day alive for everyone.
