Boys ‘brilliant’ at annual Exeter and East Devon Rugby 7s

This week we took some of our year 10 boys to Blundell’s to compete in the annual Exeter and East Devon Rugby 7s tournament where we were in a group against some very competitive schools. The boys showed a really good account of themselves throughout the whole afternoon.

The first group game was against Clyst Vale which saw us narrowly defeated 14-7 in which the boys felt was a very winnable game.

However, in the second game, we bounced back to a 14-7 win against Kings Ottery.

Then in the third saw us against our rivals Uffculme which was a lot more of fast flowing game of rugby but we were beaten by a well drilled team. Final score 26-14.

After a long wait for Exmouth to catch up with their fixtures after arriving late, the boys got cold and lost their focus a little. A slow start saw us chasing the game, but we finished strong in the second half. Final score was a 21-7 defeat.

Results may have not gone our way, but each of them were brilliant!
