Deflection robs Year 9 footballers of a draw

In tough conditions the Yr 9 football team narrowly lost on Tuesday 2-1 to Clyst Vale Community College.

The boys went into half time 1-0 up following a goal from Cody S however the home side grew in confidence in the second half. The pitch made for a game which our attacking players struggled to adapt to meanwhile Harry S kept theirs at bay with some brilliant saves in goal. Clyst Vale’s pressure paid off with two second half goals, the winner coming from a rather fortunate deflected goal.

As always the boys never stopped trying and kept going until the final whistle.
