SPLITZ

Three colleagues from SPLITZ came into school on 26th Jan and talked to the whole of Years 9 and 10 to raise awareness and educate young people around healthy relationships. Their presentation was very informative, showing them the warning signs and triggers of all forms of domestic abuse, be that financial, physical, emotional, sexual or psychological. They were also introduced to behaviours that constituted coercive control and signposted to people who could help, should they feel they are subject to these behaviours or recognising them in themselves or their peers. The interactive quiz where students could decide if scenarios presented to them constituted healthy or unhealthy behaviours was also engaging. Thank you to Stacey, Lauren and Shannon from SPLITZ for sharing their expertise with our students.
