Sporting success in netball

The year 7 netballers had a close start against the Court Fields side with the ball going end to end. There was great defence from Ruby H who took numerous tips and interceptions to stop the opposition. The first quarter ended 0-0. Into the second and third the team settled into it with some great movement down the court from Imogen K into the shooters. Shooters Ava L and Ola O sunk the first shots of game and dominated the attacking end to win the game 4-1. An excellent first game for the team!”

The U16 team took the court against Court Fields with Roxy B, Robyn D, Evie E-K and Megan L in defence; Yara C mid court and Darcey C, Amelia F and Rebecca K in attack.

Tiverton took immediate control with some fine passing decisions by our attackers and so going 6-2 up in the first quarter. The defence intercepted a number of balls and so helped to further Tiverton’s lead in the second quarter .  A slight loss of momentum in the third meant Court Fields were able to pull back, leaving Tiverton at 10-7 going into the final section.  The opposition played some sound netball but Tiverton attacked with spark and increasing confidence in the final quarter.  Great positioning and passing by the attackers as well as interceptions by the defence meant they closed the game with a 14-11 win.  Fantastic play by all!”
