The Year 10/11 basketball team had their first fixture of the year against Uffculme in the THS Sports Hall.
The boys applied the skills and tactics that they have been working on in training. Although they were defeated this time, it was a close competitive game; the boys applied man to man defence with year 10 Freddie M working hard to protect the basket.
On offence the boys gained many points on the fast break; year 10 Alfie J made some strong rebounds, with some clever link up play between our year 11s Oli R-F and Noah P scoring a series of lay ups, taking THS to 25 points on the board. This kept Tiverton in the game, until Uffculme managed to pull away in the 4th Quarter.
