U13 Girls just miss out in National Cup

Despite winning 8 of 10 games in a group format tournament, unfortunately the team narrowly missed out on qualification to the next stage of the National Cup, finishing second with only one team progressing.

The girls travelled to Exeter yesterday as reigning holders of this stage of the competition hosted by Exeter City FC and played like they were in the form to retain it. Ultimately the day went down to one game against Clyst Vale who just pipped us 2-1 after a wonder goal from one of their players from the half way line.

With half the team being year 7s playing up a year, they shouldn’t be disheartened at all. Player of the tournament was Chloe C. Our full team was Hetty J Esmee B Lacey S Niamh P Chloe C Olivia W Kayra P Macie S.
