THS Netball in action against QE

The THS year 7 teamed faced a strong QE team. From the whistle they had their eyes on the goal, with good movement and passing from Imogen K into Ava L and Ola O in the D, THS took an early lead.

Coming into the second and third quarter, the QE team were building momentum, netting goal after goal to take control of the game. A few changes in our mid-court helped to slow down the QE team, but it wasn’t enough to bring back the victory. End score 8-3 to QE.

Really well matched teams for our U16s.  The game was tense with some effective work by our defence to keep the scores fairly equal.  At the end of the third quarter we were at a nail-biting  7-6.

We fought hard throughout with some great movement from Jess K and Victoria P, but the QE shooters were consistently accurate as the game progressed and made the most of their chances whilst THS were unable to close a few good opportunities. One hugely unlucky distance shot from the back of the D by Darcy C spun a few times just inside the hoop before flying out again!  Despite some great passing down the line in the last quarter, QE pulled ahead to a closing score of 12-6.

Great play by all!
